Our main focus is the customer and always trying to come up with new ideas to make the customers experience more enjoyable and we hope we are doing just that, so if you are ever in Galway please feel free to drop in and let us know how we are getting on!

We take pride in looking after our beers, the Guinness is regularly touted by reviewers and customers alike as the best in Galway, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and we would put our bar staff up against the best of them.

From the outside it looks very small, and yet as soon as you walk in you realise that it stretches a long way back. At the rear you’ll find our newly renovated beer garden, which for much of the year is a great sun-trap.

An Púcán

Award-winning Irish Bar with just the right amount of crazy!
Go here with friends for after-work drinks and then, enjoy great food and relaxed atmosphere. And as any sensible weeknight resolve dissolves – head to the back bar for more cocktails and the live band every weekend.

Head to #THE GARDEN on a sunny afternoon and you will never want to leave with relaxed atmosphere and worryingly easy-to-drink cocktails and chilled craft beers.

  • Great soup and brown bread; wonderfully delicious fish sandwich too. Listened to early group-talented guitarist and banjo players. Stayed on for Paddy Jordan. What a talented and versatile musician!!!

  • We were walking by, heard the music and stopped in. The music was lively and enthusiastic. Everyone was having a great time. We will return when we have more time.

  • Very popular spot and it’s easy to see why. The food is fantastic. Thick cut pinko crusted calamari was tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Tasty pan-fried chicken with a lovely gravy. Perfectly cooked mixed vegetables. Generous portion of crispy fish and chips. Service was swift and the atmosphere is energized. We would certainly come again.
  • While overnighting in Galway, we were looking for a place to eat and hopefully hear some music. We saw the musicians setting up through the window and decided to give An Pucan a try. I am so glad we did!. The food and the music were both top notch!
