    Our main focus is the customer and always trying to come up with new ideas to make the customers experience more enjoyable and we hope we are doing just that, so if you are ever in Galway please feel free to drop in and let us know how we are getting on!

    We take pride in looking after our beers, the Guinness is regularly touted by reviewers and customers alike as the best in Galway, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and we would put our bar staff up against the best of them.

    From the outside it looks very small, and yet as soon as you walk in you realise that it stretches a long way back. At the rear you’ll find our newly renovated beer garden, which for much of the year is a great sun-trap.

    • We are here on Saturday last, my wife had the jalopeno burger and I had the proper scallops. I tasted her burger and for the first time in a long time I actually got the flavor in the meat. It was succulent and seasoned and wasn’t depending on a sauce for flavoring. My scallops were massive and juicy. Nachos and wings for starters were excellent. All in all a very good experience.

    • Well what I can say amazing bar lovely food staff go beyond expectations to give you a welcome feeling absolutely love your pub, staff Shane and Evan are amazing love you all love Ann jackie Rachael and Maria from Nottingham, defo will be coming back thank you and the oysters were amazing !

    • We held our wedding party at An Pucan a few weeks ago and I cannot say enough good things about this bar! The manager Conor and all of the staff were absolutely incredible. I contacted Conor late last year from overseas about having a BBQ and party in the beer garden, he and Adam basically took control from there helped with the menu and band and made everything so seamless and easy, living overseas it was reassuring to know we were being looked after.

      We visited the pub the week of the party and we were so impressed with how the pub and beer garden looked. The day of the party the staff went out of their way to make us feel special, all guests raved about how delicious the food was and the band were brilliant. Many compliments also went to the bar staff for their amazing memories and quick service! If your looking for a drink, food or a party I couldn't recommend this place more highly. They were brilliant in every way.

    • Galway is one of the best towns to experience the traditional Irish scene. And this is one of the best Pubs to experience that music. You can find music on the early and late side which is nice for those that want to go to bed on the early.

      We enjoyed the music so much that we went twice. Once for meeting friends and enjoying the music and the other time for dinner. If you like the music loud, sit up close. But we preferred to grab a booth both times so we could enjoy the music but still hold a conversation.
